Dugdale Bros & Co. is the last remaining independently owned cloth merchant in Huddersfield. They’ve been making some of Britain’s finest fabrics in this historic Yorkshire town since 1896.

Originally established in 1772, Fox Brothers & Co Ltd has produced woollen and worsted fabric for the past three centuries. Officially credited as the original creators of flannel, Fox has a pattern archive dating back to our foundation. They have proudly been producing cloth entirely in England since the 18th century

Harrisons of Edinburgh and its magnificent portfolio of historic British cloth brands was founded in 1863. Harrisons, the company has a long heritage in producing high‑quality fabrics, especially luxury worsteds, cashmeres, tweeds and other fine suiting materials woven in the United Kingdom.

Their mill in Huddersfield, England, has been making textiles since 1539, initially working a fallen, a craft that involved stretching the woollen fibres by hand until the arrival of looms. In 1799 the first machinery was introduced which eventually revolutionised the weaving process.
